The Vlădeasa Mountains are the northernmost of the three high central massifs of the Western Transylvanian (Apuseni) Mountains, which belong in the Southwestern Carpathians. The main ridge of the Vlădeasa massif is about 50km long . The eastern ridge boasts the highest peak named Vf.Vlădeasa which tops out at 1836m. It is the third highest summit in the Apuseni Mountains.  ​

    ​The Vlădeasa Mountains represent the northernmost segment among the three prominent central massifs of the Western Transylvanian (Apuseni) Mountains. Spanning approximately 50 kilometers, the primary ridge of the Vlădeasa massif features the impressive Vf. Vlădeasa, standing tall at 1836 meters. This summit ranks as the third-highest point in the Apuseni Mountains. Embark on a memorable journey, commencing at 8 o'clock in the morning with a convenient pickup from your Cluj-Napoca accommodation. Our adventure spans 80 kilometers, leading us to the quaint Rogojel Village. Before our hike kicks off, we'll take a brief pause at the Sequoia tree. Here, amidst authentic wooden houses, the enduring traditions of Romanian culture are on display. The trek commences from Rogojel village, a 2-hour hike guiding us to the Vladeasa Chalet, where a delightful Romanian picnic awaits. Following the break, our exploration continues with a 2-hour ascent to Vladeasa Peak.

Tudor is a great hiking guide, knows the area well, and provided a great sense of security (bears, steep descents). The hike along the White Stones ridge was amazing and provided great views!

Amazing day getting out in Nature in Romania! Tudor tailored the day to my hiking abilities and the conditions of the day. He is very knowledgeable on the area and was really fun to spend the day hiking with!

Tudor was just absolutely amazing, doing this winter hike in Vladeasa with Tudor was the best hike we had done in quite some time Indeed, Tudor had all the extra material needed for us to be able to do this hike safely: ice gaiters, snow shoes, extra back pack even. Also he had for us a lunch made of sandwiches and delicious oranges! As well as some well welcomed hot apple tea. Doing this hike in December allowed us to enjoy a quite magnificent landscape made of snow in a mystic Romanian forest. We met only 4 other hikers during our day there, we were even the first ones walking on this new powder snow where we definitely felt blessed for this type of exclusivity. We 100% recommend Tudor as a guide, who made us feel really safe and thought about everything for us to be able to be back at the car right when the sun set (indeed we hiked on winter solstice). He also took numerous pictures of us and therefore helping us making memories, he has a great spirit full of joy and contagious enthusiasm from the very start! Again, we 100% recommend!!!
